FABIEN FICHER
Paris, France
Fabien Ficher is an artist born in 1995 in Nancy, France. After completing his master’s degree in architecture from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Nancy in 2020, he moved to Paris where he held his first exhibitions.
Ficher explores the relation that humans have with space and reality. In his creative process, he questions the position and perception of the viewer in a world where the digital is gradually taking over the physical. He expresses himself through photographs, sculptures, and installations mainly composed of different mediums such as mirrors, lights, and building materials.
His artistic practice seeks to disturb the viewer’s perceptual habits by offering works that challenge the way of observing and apprehending the current world. He sculpts the space by proposing purely visual architectures that balance between reality and fiction.
